“…For the remaining compounds, the electronic transition roughly coincides with the Fd3 m -I4 1 /amd structural change as we mentioned before, hence becoming difficult to determine if such isostructural transitions are a general feature of this series. Interestingly, we note that a peculiar F-f E plot was recently reported for the Fd3 m phase of a natural CuCr 1.7 V 0.03 S 4 sample 74 . Even though this behavior was attributed to a unique signature of a fourth-order B-M EoS for describing the respective P-V data, it would be interesting to check whether an isostructural/electronic transition is also at play in this system.…”

“…The user can define each EoS independently, by selecting the EoS type from the pull-down menus, selecting the order of the EoSs and The main window of the EosFit7-GUI program, showing the control tabs in the left-hand zone and the graphics zone for plotting. The compression data are a thiospinel, CuCr 2 S 4 (Alvaro et al, 2014), with the fits of second-(black), third-(red) and fouth-order (green) Birch-Murnaghan EoS shown as lines. The same data and fits are also shown as f-F plots in Fig.…”

“…Furthermore, a single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) study on a natural CuCr 1.7 V 0.3 S 4 sample did not indicate any structural transition up to 7 GPa. 27 Our high-pressure powder XRD studies have revealed a divergence in the structural behavior of the two materials under compression. In particular, CuCr 2 O 4 retains its starting I4 1 /amd structure up to 50 GPa, with evidence of a second-order isostructural transition between 24 and 30 GPa.…”

“…To date, the only pressure-related studies on these two compounds have dealt with the pressure dependence of T C . , In particular, the rate of pressure change was d T C /d P = −4.1 K/GPa, and d T C /d P = +1.6–2 K/GPa for CuCr 2 Se 4 and CuCr 2 O 4 , respectively; , no structural data have been reported. Furthermore, a single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD) study on a natural CuCr 1.7 V 0.3 S 4 sample did not indicate any structural transition up to 7 GPa …”
