“…An unusual finding in this patient was the concurrence of optic neuritis and partial third nerve palsy in the absence of other signs of orbital apex syndrome. Harthan and Borgman 17 reported a case of left partial third cranial nerve palsy with pupillary involvement secondary to HZO, in which APD was present in the left eye. It was an accurately described case of HZ third cranial nerve palsy and optic neuritis similar to ours, but the diagnosis was not emphasized.…”
