Collin and Abelson 25 recently described a case of apparent herpes simplex keratouveitis where the virus was demonstrated by transmission electron microscopy in the cornea removed at the time of a third corneal transplant, indicating that the virus persisted for a considerable period of time. In a case of herpetic iritis, virus was found in the anterior chamber by immunofluorescence and electron microscopy.…”
