Hepatocellular carcinoma after treatment of hepatitis C with direct-acting antivirals: a critical re-appraisal

Abstract: Soon after introducing direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) for chronic hepatitis C treatment, there began a debate over the possibility of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after viral clearance.
