Abstract:Hepatoblastoma is a rare type of pediatric malignant disease and represents the most frequent cause of liver tumors during childhood. We describe the diagnosis and treatment of a 14-month-old female patient who presented with abdominal swelling, anorexia, and weight loss. Initial investigations indicated elevated alpha-fetoprotein levels and thrombocytosis. A CT scan showed a heterogeneous mass arising in the right lobe of the liver.
