Hemophilic Pseudotumor of the Temporal Bone With Conductive Hearing Loss

Abstract: A 46-year-old man with factor VIII deficiency presented with a rare case of hemophilic pseudotumor in the temporal bone manifesting as severe conductive hearing loss and external ear bleeding. The pseudotumor expanded and destroyed the temporal bone and skin of the external ear over the course of 8 years. The pseudotumor was surgically excised, and the patient's symptoms improved. “…In this study, surface treatments have been carried out to improve the dispersion and ink-jet ink properties of carbon black pigment. Technically, the treatments can be carried out using two methods: oxidation of the surface and introduction of a polar group, such as a carboxylic acid group or benzene sulphonic acid group [14]. In this study, oxidising agents were used for surface treatments.…”

One year later, there will be a progressively enlarging mass within the injury region [2,9].…”

“…9 Surgery is generally curative and is cited as the most effective treatment for pseudotumor. 9,18,23 However (due to location, size, and other factors) not all pseudotumors are amenable to surgery. 2 Factor replacement therapy is a fundamental component of therapy regardless of any other interventions used.…”
