Increased risk of sleep-related movement disorder in patients with Helicobacter pylori infection: A nationwide population-based study

“…In contrast, an earlier review reported that the prevalence of HPI in patients with PD in four studies ranged from 37% to 59%, which was similar to that of the general population ( 28 ). Moreover, only limited evidence could be provided in three randomized controlled trials (RCT) to support that HPI eradication alleviated motor symptoms in patients with PD ( 28 ). A wellconducted RCT with standard outcome measures and treatment is also required to demonstrate whether patients with HPI have a higher risk of developing subsequent SRMD.…”
