The energy balance equation for an MHD flow inside a two-dimensional channel has been solved analytically considering walls of finite thickness. A Hartmann-like velocity profile and the electric density current obtained taking into account the electric conductivity of the walls are used in the convective, viscous, and Joule heating terms.
