Abstract:The reactions of ethynide dianionic ligand, 1-iodo-3,5-bis(prop-2-ynyloxy)benzene (H 2 L), and silver(I) trifluorocarboxylate under solvent evaporation conditions yielded two silver(I)-ethynide complexes, namely, [(Ag 2 L) 2 (AgCF 3-CO 2 ) 4 (H 2 O) 2 ] n (1) and [(Ag 2 L) 4 (AgCF 3 CO 2 ) 3 ] n (2). In 1, two types of Ag 12 aggregates are fused into silver(I) columns through vertex-sharing and edge-sharing, which are further linked through interchain weak AgÁÁÁI and FÁÁÁI halogen bonding into a 3D supramolecu… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
