“…The average RE cation radius of mixed tetragonal gadolinium-lanthanum pyrosilicate (Gd 2x La 2−2x Si 2 O 7 :Ce) obtained in [19] is the same as for Eu 2 Si 2 O 7 (0.947Å), therefore, it is situated in the specified range. As it was suggested before [17,23], pure gadolinium pyrosilicate (cation radius of Gd 3+ is 0.938Å) can be obtained only in orthorhombic or triclinic modifications.…”
