“…At least 15 studies of attrition correlates have been published in peerreviewed journals since Daly's and Pelowski's work was disseminated (Buttell & Carney, 2002;Buttell & Pike, 2002;Carney & Buttell, 2004;Dalton, 2001;Dowd, Leisring, & Rosenbaum, 2005;Gerlock, 2001;Hudak, 2001;McCloskey, Sitaker, & Grigsby, 2003;Rondeau, Brodeur, & Brochu, 2001;Rooney & Hanson, 2002;Scott, 2004;Taft, Murphy, & Elliott, 2001a, 2001bTutty, Babins-Wagner, & Rothery, 2001;Tutty, Bidgood, & Rothery, 2006). In this group of studies, we found that court referral status, unemployment, criminal history, and age were correlated with attrition in at least half of the studies 1 in which they were examined.…”
