“…On April 20, 1962, the patient was started on saturated solution of potassium iodide (SSKI), 10 drops t.i.d., gradually increased to 40 drops t.i.d., and it was continued at this dosage until Nov 6,1962. Because the lesion failed to improve, during this seven-month course of iodide therapy, the fol¬ lowing drugs were added successively to the treat¬ ment regimen: (a) griseofulvin, 1 gm daily for a period of 33 days; (b) vaccine therapy for 19 days, 0.1 ml-0.2 ml every three days (1:1,000 heatkilled yeast phase suspension of .S" schenckii) ; and finally (c) oral amphotericin B *, 4 gm daily, for a period of 27 days.…”
