Green synthesis of SnO2 nanoparticles using Delonix elata leaf extract: Evaluation of its structural, optical, morphological and photocatalytic properties

Abstract: This research article reports the green synthesis of SnO 2 nanoparticles and its structural, optical, morphological and photocatalytic behaviors has been achieved by using Delonix elata leaf extract. Three different synthesis routes (i.e., sonication, wet chemical, and microwave method) are employed to prepare SnO 2 nanoparticles. A comparative analysis was performed on the main physical properties to get a broader understanding of the effect of processing parameters on prepared SnO 2 nanoparticles. The prepar… Show more

“…37 The sharp peak at 618 cm À1 corresponds to the SnO 2 framework vibrations; meanwhile, 38 the peak area $1422 cm À1 unveiled bending vibrations of CH 2 . 37,39,40 A small peak exing found around 493 cm À1 is inclined to Sn-O stretching vibration. Similarly, a new peak for CS@SnO 2 is found at $1320 cm À1 due to secondary and tertiary amide functional groups.…”

“…32 In comparison, the SnO 2 sample exhibits the stretching vibrations of Sn-O at around 510 cm À1 and the symmetric vibrations of O-Sn-O at around 670 cm À1 , respectively. 33 The raw GO sample displays the presence of bands associated to C-O at 1053 cm À1 , C-O-C at 1270 cm À1 , C-OH at 1416 cm À1 , CQC at 1630 cm À1 , CQO at 1733 cm À1 , and O-H bonds at 3500 cm À1 , respectively. 34 In comparison, the lower intensity of C-O, C-OH, and CQO vibrations and higher intensity of C-O-C of rGO sample suggests partial reduction of oxygen-containing functional groups of GO by annealing.…”
