Section of the latter results, indeed, in a dry eye, but without keratitis [Johnson and Nosik, 1951], whereas the ablation of Gasser's ganglion does not diminish the secretion of tears. A paresis of the ocular sympathetic nerve, as may be seen in Horner's syndrome, gives rise neither to keratitis, nor to lacri mal insufficiency.…”
