The ecoefficiency of industrial enterprises serves as an indicator of regional industry’s capacity for sustainable development, with judicious environmental regulations being essential for facilitating green industrial transformation and the realization of high-quality development. In this investigation, a global Super-SBM model is utilized to assess the ecoefficiency of industrial firms in 30 Chinese provinces from 2003 to 2021. Furthermore, we examine how environmental regulations affect industrial ecoefficiency using a moderating effect model and we determine spatial implications using the Clad-SDM model. The findings are as follows: (1) The ecoefficiency of China’s industrial enterprises has increased from approximately 0.2 to nearly 0.4, with command-based environmental regulations augmenting ecoefficiency in contrast to the limited impact of market-based regulations. (2) Economic advancement amplifies the positive influence of command-based regulations on industrial ecoefficiency and heightens the negative effects of market-based regulations; concurrently, international trade and the technological milieu positively moderate the influence exerted by market-based and command-based regulations, respectively. (3) Both regulatory types exhibit significant spatial spillover effects, with clear regional differences in their impact on industrial ecoefficiency.

As concerns over the security of intercity connections intensify, the concept of urban network resilience has increasingly captured the attention of researchers in related fields. This study aimed to clarify the varying interpretations of urban network resilience among scholars and to identify the advancements and potential gaps in existing literature. The results indicated that differences in perceptions of urban networks have led scholars to define urban network resilience from two distinct perspectives. This divergence influenced the focal points of research, as well as the methodologies, structural measurement indicators, and optimization strategies employed in these studies. We argued for the need to further explore the concept of urban network resilience by considering the nuances of different urban networks, refining methodologies for the identification, description, and measurement of resilience, and recognizing the interconnections among various types and scales of urban networks. This review can provide scholars and policymakers with comprehensive insights into urban resilience, thereby assisting them in making more informed and effective decisions.

In the context of post-pandemic recovery plans, several countries have glimpsed a window of opportunity to integrate robust strategies to combat climate change, aligning measures that support the transition to renewable energies. Latin America, a region endowed with significant clean energy potential, has experienced challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis, which has considerably impacted the implementation and optimization of these energies. This study sought to meticulously examine the process and challenges of energy transition in the post-pandemic scenario in Latin America, implementing a methodology that amalgamates qualitative and quantitative approaches. Through a theoretical and empirical exploration, it explored the prevailing energy dilemmas during the pandemic, identifying the main barriers and advantages intrinsic to the energy transition. Although investment in the region remains heavily weighted towards the non-renewable energy sector, Latin America has demonstrated tangible progress in energy transition. The analysis led to relevant recommendations for incorporating vital elements in government climate policies and identifying critical competencies for stakeholders, advocating for a more substantial commitment to energy sustainability in the region's future.
