Geometry in CIELAB color space for protonation of pH indicators

Abstract: Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy provides color information on organic compounds during chemical reactions. Absorption spectra of a pH indicator during protonation show absorption bands from electronic transitions based on molecular structure.
