Abstract: The municipality of the town of Ulldecona (Catalonia) is notable for extensive quarrying activities, which exploit limestone, popularly named Stone from Ulldecona, for ornamental and building purposes. The Stone from Ulldecona, commercially known as Sénia stone, is one of the most important ornamental and building stones quarried in Catalonia, and is used worldwide in all kinds of public and private buildings.
