Abstract: The metabolic cycle of folate, also known as one-carbon metabolism, is a set of interconnected pathways that provide methyl groups for essential metabolic functions in the body. This cycle is responsible for crucial reactions in intracellular homeostasis such as methylation of biomolecules as well as synthesis of nucleic acids and amino acids.
