Genetic Structure and Diversity among Species of Salacia: An Endangered Medicinal Herb of Western Ghats, India

Abstract: Salacia is one of the medicinally valuable genus, distributed throughout tropical areas which include India, Sri Lanka, Southern China and other Southern Asian Countries. The genus Salacia is represented by 21 species in India, among them eight species are recorded from the state of Karnataka in the Southern part of India.
