Fungal diversity notes 1277–1386: taxonomic and phylogenetic contributions to fungal taxa

Abstract: Notes on 113 fungal taxa are compiled in this paper, including 11 new genera, 89 new species, one new subspecies, three new combinations and xx reference specimens. A wide geographic and taxonomic range of fungal taxa are detailed. In the Ascomycota the new genera Angustospora (Testudinaceae), Camporesia (Xylariaceae), Clematidis, Crassiparies (Pleosporales genera incertae sedis), Farasanispora, Longiostiolum (Pleosporales genera incertae sedis), Multilocularia (Parabambusicolaceae), Neophaeocryptopus (Dothide… Show more

“…Phylogenetic analyses of Luo et al [28] and Lin et al [111] showed that gonytrichii formed a stable and well-supported lineage within Chloridium. Chloridium aseptatum was introduced by Wei et al [113], based on morphology and ITS sequence data, Yuan et al [112] synonymized C. macrocladum instead C. aseptatum, our phylogenetic analysis also obtained the same result, C. aseptatum (MFLUCC 11-0216) clustered with C. gonytrichii (Figure 20). Hence, we are in agreement with Yuan et al [112], and synonymized both C. macrocladum and C. aseptatum under C. gonytrichii, based on phylogeny and morphology.…”

“…Uzbekistan, with its mountainous landscape, is characterized by a high diversity of trees and shrubs, perhaps 500-600 species (Eastwood et al, 2009). Therefore, maybe more taxa of wood-inhabiting poroid and corticioid species, including new and even endemic species, still await to be revealed from Uzbekistan (Hyde et al, 2020;Yuan et al, 2020).…”

“…Fungal names used in other regional floras have often been applied to fungi in Uzbekistan. However, the Uzbek fungi often represent new, unrelated species as was shown for Uzbekistan ascomycetous microfungi Gafforov, 2001, 2002;Gafforov and Hoshino, 2015;Gafforov, 2002Gafforov, , 2010Gafforov, , 2015Gafforov, , 2016aGafforov and Rakhimov, 2017;Gafforov et al, 2019;Wanasinghe et al, 2017Wanasinghe et al, , 2018aSamarakoon et al, 2018;Pem et al, 2018Pem et al, , 2019aHyde et al, 2019Hyde et al, , 2020Yuan et al, 2020). Basidiomycetous fungi have received even less attention than ascomycetous microfungi (Gafforov, 2014;Gafforov et al, 2014.…”

“…Morphological and phylogenetic analyses have provided more accurate identification and contributed to the definition of the taxonomic status of the genera in Steccherinaceae . In recent years, phylogenetic analysis based on multi-marker data has been widely used in the taxonomy of these fungi ( He and Dai 2012 ; Miettinen et al 2012 ; Binder et al 2013 ; Dai et al 2014 ; Miettinen and Ryvarden 2016 ; Justo et al 2017 ; Kotiranta et al 2017 ; Westphalen et al 2018 ; Yuan et al 2018 ; Yuan et al 2020 ).…”
