Front Cover: Adsorption of a Chiral Amine on Alginate Gel Beads and Evaluation of its Efficiency as Heterogeneous Enantioselective Catalyst (Eur. J. Org. Chem. 24/2019)
Abstract:The Front Cover shows in the center an alginate gel bead with 9‐amino (9‐deoxy)epi‐quinine (QNA) immobilized thanks to the non‐covalent interactions with the carboxylic groups of the support. The bead is held by two hands that emerge from the seabed. These hands represent the high enantioselectivity of the catalyst as well as its ability to be recovered, making the system fully heterogeneous for a model asymmetric reaction. The algae behind the hands represent the brown macroalgae, the natural source of the al… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
