FOXO1 regulation of luteinizing hormone beta transcription

Abstract: Luteinizing hormone (LH) is required for mammalian fertility and is produced exclusively by gonadotrope cells within the anterior pituitary. Insulin stimulation of gonadotropes induces LH production, although the mechanisms are unknown.
