Four decades of fuzzy sets theory in operations management: application of life-cycle, bibliometrics and content analysis

Abstract: The development of a scientific discipline is partly determined by the growth of its literature. Bibliometrics constitute a set of mathematical and statistical techniques employed to explore, organize, and quantitatively analyze large pools of scientific literature. In this study, 11,433 papers published between 1974 and 2015 are collected and analyzed by applying life-cycle analysis, bibliometrics and text mining in order to provide a full thematic overview of the application of fuzzy theory in operations man… Show more

“…Thomé et al (2020) used the method to determine and illustrate the co-occurrence conceptual framework of food SCs and short food SCs, at odds with the current divergence of the literature approaches. Based on text mining to classify constructive information in textual data ( Zanjirchi et al, 2019 ), content analysis is an essential step to assess a high volume of data in a structured and systematic approach by precisely capture relevant information to identify valuable topics, methods and themes with manual approaches( Gao et al, 2020 ; Kazemi et al, 2019 ).…”

“…It shows the latest advances, main topics, current gaps and cooperation patterns of researchers in a certain research field [ 7 , 21 ]. At last, bibliometric analysis are nowadays abundantly used to inform research-policy and management decisions [ 22 ], for example, about research funding [ 23 ]. The main goal of this study is therefore to analyse the research trends focused on workplace violence in healthcare personnel over the last 27 years (from 1992 to 2019).…”

“…Our study complements the rich body of existing literature reviews by introducing a novel method to assess the evolution and conceptual structure of technostress research. In addition, our study assists scholars in gaining a clear pathway about the importance and potential impact of emerging research directions [64]. The study also provides meaningful insights for practitioners by identifying the causes, underlying processes, outcomes, and trends of technostress which can support practitioners to address the challenges associated with this phenomenon.…”
