Os fatores externos vão desde a sua sobrevivência (LAURINKEVICIUTE; STASISKIENE, 2001); suprir expectativas e pressões das partes interessada, as quais são dependentes de instituições nacionais, históricas, culturais, sociais (GUNARATHNE et al, 2016) e órgão regulamentares (MAAS et al, 2016), criando desta forma valor corporativo (GUNARATHNE et al, 2016), até diminuir impactos ambientais e sociais.
