It can be seen that it is at this stage of life that feeding should gain greater prominence due to progressive weaning and the consequent importance of complementary feeding, which must meet the child's nutritional needs as a way of ensuring their proper growth and development (39) , in addition to contributing to the formation of healthy eating habits that will be followed throughout life (40) .
