Fleet Optimization Based on the Monte Carlo Algorithm

Abstract: With the development of computers and software products, there is now greater use of quantitative methods in industrial enterprises when making managerial decisions. One of the most applicable solutions to computer simulation algorithms is the Monte Carlo method. The application of the Monte Carlo algorithm lies in finding a relation between the individual variables, which are the solutions to the problem and represent the characteristics of random processes reproducible on computers. The aim of this article i… Show more

“…This method was used for the optimization of fleet capacity. Based on mathematical methods and models, [8,9] analyse the possibility of ensuring transport serviceability of urban areas through the optimal use of transit links. This issue has been addressed in many other publications, such as [10][11][12][13][14][15].…”

“…Consequently, these methods can inspire creation of new methods, methodological and heuristic procedures, and other scientific outputs. For example, the employment of Monte Carlo experiments is described in [9]. This method can be used in physical and mathematical problems (it is the most useful method in cases when it is difficult or impossible to use other approaches).…”
