Fingerprint Recognition based on Minutiae Information

Abstract: The performance of Fingerprint Recognition is totally dependent on the Fingerprint Image Quality, because Fingerprint Recognition is the processing of Digital Image. The quality of fingerprint images influences by both environmental and scanner's surface. This paper analyzes the Fingerprint Recognition, Matching. The Minutiae-based matching technique is the best method to extract useful information about Minutiae and if the image is partial or affected by noise then the ROI can be use to optimize the result. “…It is a state-of-the-art locking system that is quick to pervasive and also provides better safety. Chandana, Surendra Yadav, Manish Mathuria [15] research gives information that so many different places are used this technique, but in near future if we use this technique that provide better security in our life. If we use this technique to GOVT Election to identify all peoples individually then we prevent fake person votes, also prevent double vote in one person [15].…”

“…Fingerprint recognition is an automated technique that compares fingerprints to comfier the individual's identity. According to (Yadav & Mathuria, 2015), there are two types of fingerprint recognition: one-to-one or to-many matches. In one-to-one matches, also known as verification, two fingerprints are compared to ensure a person's identity.…”

“…The identification system aims to break a person's identity while the verification system aims to reject or accept an identity claimed by someone [13]. One of biometrics technology is fingerprint biometrics, a self-recognition system using fingerprint to represent someone's identity [7]. Fingerprint have universal, unique, permanent and collectability properties.…”
