Filter-based fault detection and diagnosis using output PDFs for stochastic systems with time delays

Abstract: In this paper, a fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) scheme is studied for general stochastic dynamic systems subjected to state time delays. Different from the formulation of classical FDD problems, it is supposed that the measured information for the FDD is the probability density function (PDF) of the system output rather than its actual value. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC).
