Features of methods and models in risk management of IT projects

Abstract: IT projects are carried out in the context of the constant development of rapidly obsolete technologies and the variability of user expectations. Implementation of IT projects is closely related to risks, the nature of which depends on factors such as subject area, technology used, number of involved developers, etc. Risk management (RM) is multivariate, which determines the search for comprehensive solutions to increase the effectiveness of RM in projects. For IT projects, this problem is particularly relevan… Show more

“…"Code review is a phase in the software development process in which the authors of code, peer reviewers, and perhaps quality assurance (QA) testers get together to review code [3]. "Finding and correcting errors at this stage is relatively inexpensive and tends to reduce the more expensive process of handling, locating, and fixing bugs during later stages of development or after programs are delivered to users" [16]. Reviewers read the code line by line to check for": Code review may be especially productive for identifying security vulnerabilities.…”

“…"However, some authors suggest that quality systems should be split into two categories: technical components (statistical control of processes, the use of benchmarking or the implementation of flexible processes) and social or contextual components (leadership, staff involvement, customer orientation, training and development of staff skills, teamwork, communication, shared vision)" [4]. "The risks to the project are influenced by factors such as the level of novelty for the organization, the complexity of the project, its duration, availability of resources, including highly skilled specialists, etc [16]"…”

“…At the same time, effective management of e-commerce development, as well as the processes of the economy informatization as a whole, is impossible without a full and comprehensive economic and mathematical research of the whole complex of problems, including, on the one hand, the activities of enterprises in the field of electronic commerce, and, on the other, the use of information technology in enterprises and organizations of all branches of economy [1,[4][5][6][7]. The problem of economic and mathematical modeling of e-commerce processes [8][9][10] is currently one of the most urgent due to the dynamic growth of this economic activity area, both in terms of trading operations and territorial coverage of potential participants in e-commerce. In connection with these circumstances, arises the task of ecommerce processes analysis and economic and mathematical tools development, which can be used to study the complex patterns of interaction in e-commerce and be the basis for the development of effective management mechanisms.…”
