Abstract:We used published microarray datasets (1-3) to compare global gene expression profiles in whole blood, from patients with Crohn’s Disease and from healthy control subjects. We identified the F-box protein 6 Fbxo6 as differentially expressed in the peripheral blood of patients with Crohn’s Disease. Patients with Crohn’s Disease expressed significantly higher levels of mRNA for FBXO6 protein in the peripheral blood than did control subjects.
