Fast and selective extraction of chloramphenicol from soil by matrix solid‐phase dispersion using molecularly imprinted polymer as dispersant

Abstract: The molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was synthesized and used as dispersant of matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) for the extraction of chloramphenicol (CAP) in soil samples. The satisfactory recovery of CAP was obtained by the optimized extraction conditions: 1:2 as the ratio of sample to MIPs; 5 min as the dispersion time; 30% aqueous methanol as washing solvent and methanol as elution solvent. The CAP extracted from soil was determined by LC-MS/MS. The slight ion suppression phenomenon was observed for… Show more

“…This technique can save the pretreatment time and the consumption of organic solvent, which has been increasingly applied for food and biological samples. [420][421][422][423] However, the common sorbents of MSPD, such as C 18 , C 8 , silica and florisil, lack selectivity towards target analytes and easily subjected to interference by non-target substances with similar characteristics.…”

“…A análise foi feita por HPLC e os resultados demostraram que a associação de MSPD e LLME foi satisfatória na quantificação de Sudan em alimentos [126] . Esta técnica foi também empregada na análise de cloranfenicol em amostras de solo [127] e carne de peixe [121] . Os polímeros foram sintetizados utilizando MAA e 4-VP como MF e EGDMA como ALC.…”

“…Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs), artificial ones, possess tailor-made binding sites complementary to the shapes, sizes and functional groups of the templates. MIPs have numerous merits, including low cost, easy synthesis, high stability to harsh chemical and physical conditions, and excellent reusability [7] , which have led to their application in a variety of fields such as solid-phase extraction (SPE) [8] , [9] , [10] , matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) [11] , [12] , [13] , membrane separation [14] , [15] , chromatographic analysis [16] , [17] , [18] , sensors [19] , [20] , catalysis [21] , [22] , and drug controlled release [23] , [24] , [25] . Among these applications, MIPs used as efficient alternative adsorbents of SPE for extraction of environmental contaminants from the complex samples appear to be highly promising.…”
