Abstract: Metabolism of tryptophan by the kynurenine pathway is increasingly linked to aging. Kynurenine pathway enzymes and metabolites influence a range of molecular processes critical to healthy aging, including regulation of inflammatory and immune responses, cellular redox homeostasis, and energy production.
