Abstract:Abstract-Different coherence dimensions can be considered to improve the performances of an algorithm for computing collision translations of pairs of convex polyhedra. The algorithm's peculiar approach, based on convex minimization, is well suited to work without initialization and also endowed with an inherently embedded mechanism to exploit spatial coherence in a broader sense than other related approaches usually do. After a brief outline of the algorithm, we summarize the outcomes of several numerical exp… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
