Abstract:Atrial fibrillation (AF), the most prevalent cardiac arrhythmia encountered in clinical practice, is linked with substantial morbidity and mortality due to accompanying risk of stroke and thromboembolism. Patients with AF are at a five-fold higher risk of suffering from a stroke.
