“…A Cochrane review of expedited versus conservative approaches for breech delivery found no studies with the appropriate inclusion criteria. 47 As for the maternal position during delivery, a prospective observational study found that when compared with classical vaginally completed breech deliveries, the adoption of all fours position had reduced rates of maternal perineal injuries (14.6 vs. 58.5%). 48 As for cases with breech presentation in preterm labor, a Cochrane review evaluated the effects of planned cesarean versus planned vaginal delivery for women in preterm labor irrespective of the presentation (cephalic or breech), and the only significant difference was in maternal puerperal pyrexia, which was more common in the cesarean delivery group.…”
