Abstract: The investigation of the excitonic polariton dispersion curve of highly excited CdS platelets reveals some modifications of the dielectric function E(w, k). Considering the real part of Z(w, k), the renormalization effects introduced by an intense laser can be qualitatively described by adding to E appropriate resonance terms.
