Excellent microwave absorption properties by tuned electromagnetic parameters in polyaniline-coated Ba0.9La0.1Fe11.9Ni0.1O19/reduced graphene oxide nanocomposites

Abstract: Ba 0.9 La 0.1 Fe 11.9 Ni 0.1 O 19 nanoparticles were prepared by a co-precipitation method, and Ba 0.9 La 0.1 Fe 11.9 Ni 0.1 O 19 /reduced graphene oxide/polyaniline ternary nanocomposites (BF/RGO/PANI) were prepared by in situ polymerization. Microwave reflection loss, and the permittivity and permeability of BF/RGO/PANI nanocomposites were investigated in the frequency range 2-18 GHz. The prepared samples possessed excellent electromagnetic wave-absorbing performances, and the optimal impedance matching of B… Show more

“…Also the hysteresis loop loss is negligible when a conductive material and a nonmagnetic material are incorporated so the magnetic loss in this case is mainly due to the eddy current or natural resonance. When eddy current is the only cause of magnetic loss, the eddy current coefficient C 0 is almost constant [1,2,12]. C 0 can be calculated using equation (4)…”

“…Therefore, the magnetic loss is due to the natural resonance in the range from 8 to 10 GHz. At higher frequencies from 10 to 12 GHz, C 0 becomes almost constant and eddy current is the main cause of magnetic loss [1,2].…”

“…Among different kinds of electrically conductive polymers, polyaniline (PANI) is certainly one of the most important electrically conductive polymers which is because of its unparalleled characteristics like facile synthesis chemistry, low production expense, reversible redox behavior, environmental stability, and electromagnetic and electrochemical properties. 17,18 Due to these unique properties, it could be utilized in various fields such as corrosion protection, drug delivery, waste water treatment, supercapacitors, and antistatic coatings. [19][20][21][22][23] Nanocomposite materials could combine the merits of different materials to exhibit improved and synergetic behavior.…”
