Abstract: physical cannot be ignored, and indeed an approach through the physical is often more rewarding in that it is more acceptable to the patient. The chapters dealing with the attainment of sexual satisfaction and human sexual behaviour are interesting, but a better balance could have been achieved by their omission from this particular volume and replacement by a contribution from a therapist of more experience with physical problems and their contribution to marital disharmony.
