Evolution of the Nuclear Modification Factors with Rapidity and Centrality ind+AuCollisions atNNS

Abstract: We report on a study of the transverse momentum dependence of nuclear modification factors R dAu for charged hadrons produced in deuteron + gold collisions at √ sNN = 200 GeV, as a function of collision centrality and of the pseudorapidity (η = 0, 1, 2.2, 3.2) of the produced hadrons. We find a significant and systematic decrease of R dAu with increasing rapidity. The mid-rapidity enhancement and the forward rapidity suppression are more pronounced in central collisions relative to peripheral collisions. These… Show more

“…The suppression of quarkonium and light hadrons at large rapidity has been observed in pA collisions [10][11][12][13] and in deuteron-gold collisions [14][15][16][17][18]. The proton-lead (pPb) collisions recorded at the LHC in 2013 enable the study of CNM effects at the TeV scale.…”

“…Recent data from RHIC experiment on charged hadron [12] and J/ψ [13] production in dAu collisions at √ s = 200 GeV are also shown in Fig. 3 (data from [12] have been integrated over p ⊥ between 0.7-1.0 GeV/c).…”
