Evaluation of kits for measurement of the soluble transferrin receptor

Abstract: Three commercially available kits for determination of the soluble serum transferrin receptor (sTfR), R&D Systems, UK, Ramco Laboratories, USA and Orion, Finland were compared with respect to practicability, comparability and ability to discriminate between iron deficient and non-iron deficient subjects.
