Abstract: An estimated 40.3 million people worldwide are HIV positive and the majority, 96%, live in sub-Saharan Africa where 3.2 million new infections were reported in 2005 [1]. More than half of all Africans infected are women [2]for whom HIV carries a far greater stigma than for men. In many African societies men' s sexual behaviour is excused.
