Abstract:To determine its accurate taxonomic position, a tidal pool bloom-forming dinoflagellate, Scrippsiella hexapraecingula was re-investigated using light, scanning and transmission electron microscopy together with a phylogenetic analysis based on concatenated ribosomal DNA sequences.
