Objective:To analyze HIV prevalence and associated factors in inmates in a prison in a state in the Northeast region of Brazil. Method: Epidemiological, cross-sectional study carried out with prisoners. Interviews were conducted using a form and a rapid test for the diagnosis. Bivariate and multivariate hypothesis testing, with a simple logistic ratio (unadjusted odds ratio) and multiple ratio (adjusted odds ratio) were applied. Significance level was set at p≤0.05. Results: A total of 2,131 inmates participated in the study. The HIV prevalence was 1.0%. Seropositive individuals were mostly Afro-American; their marital status was predominantly single/separated/widower. The mean age was of 31.3 years, and the mean educational level was 6.29 years. There was a link between the HIV virus and the variables: selection of partners based on physical attributes and vaginal sexual intercourse. Conclusion: Tackling the HIV infection represents a major challenge for prison and sanitary authorities, considering that the issues related to the HIV context inside and outside the prison environment are interconnected and, therefore, demands coordinated action.

Objective:To identify in the literature how the experiences of women age 35 or above are described in terms of pregnancy. Method: Integrative review based on MEDLINE/ PubMed, CINAHL, LILACS, and SciELO databases, with no time period constraint. Results: Eighteen studies that dealt with the experiences of pregnant women at an advanced maternal age were selected and analyzed. The studies evidenced four theme categories: the search for information, which pointed to a deficit of information supplied by health care professionals; perceiving the risks, which pointed to women's concerns about their own health and their children's; the ideal moment for motherhood, with different reasons for postponing it; and adjusting to a new routine, showing a concern regarding changes in daily life. Conclusion: From the results, it was possible to understand that other factors, in addition to those that include risks, are present in the experiences of older pregnant women and point to a need to involve such aspects in nursing care to create comprehensive strategies that are aligned with these women's needs. RESUMO:A beleza física é considerada um atributo importante nas relações interpessoais e atração interpessoal. Em se tratando de relacionamentos amorosos, pode apresentar conflitos entre as normas socialmente partilhadas e opiniões não expressas. O presente estudo objetivou investigar a existência de uma zona muda das representações sociais da beleza física em contexto de estabelecimento de relacionamentos amorosos. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e comparativo, de recorte transversal e amostragem intencional. Participaram 120 pessoas, distribuídos de modo equivalente entre homens e mulheres, 60 deles fazendo parte do grupo que atua como modelo fotográfico, e outros 60 com indivíduos que cursam o ensino superior na área de Ciências Exatas ou Tecnológicas. Para a coleta de dados, utilizou-se um questionário online autoadministrado, com respostas abertas e fechadas. Foi composto da seguinte forma: a) descrição de um personagem fictício, contendo informações sobre sua personalidade, aspectos físicos e como se relaciona em relacionamentos amorosos; b) definição do sexo do personagem; c) teste de evocação; d) técnica de substituição e) questões sócio-demográficas. Realizou-se análise estatística descritiva e relacional, com auxílio do SPSS 17.0. Utilizou-se o software Evocation 2005 para realizar a análise do teste de evocação e de substituição. A zona muda da representação social da beleza indicou que os participantes tanto a consideram abertamente como um atributo central no estabelecimento de relações amorosas, quanto percebem que outras pessoas consideram da mesma forma.Palavras-chave: representações sociais; zona muda; relacionamento amoroso; atração interpessoal; beleza física.ABSTRACT: Physical beauty is considered an important attribute in interpersonal relationships and interpersonal attraction. When it comes to love relationships, may present conflicts between socially shared norms and unexpressed opinions. The present study aimed to investigate the existence of a zone of change social representations of physical beauty in the context of establishing loving relationships. We perform a comparative and descriptive study, bsed on crosssectional data obtained by purposive sampling. Out of 120 participants, 60 are men and 60 are women. Moreover, 60 are professional photo models and 60 attend to higher education on Exact or Technological Sciences. We utilized a self-administered with open and close questions. Was composed as follows : a) description of a fictional character , containing information about your personality , physical aspects and how it relates to romantic relationships ; b ) definition of the sex of the character ; c ) evocation test; d ) replacement technique and ) socio-demographic questions.
