Abstract: An error has been discovered in the computation of the Hoy lava ^Ar-^Ar results. The most significant effect of the correction is to lower the plateau age of sample 4 (steps 8-12) to 368 ± 8 Ma and of sample 41 (steps 8-18) to 353 ± 7 Ma. As these results are just concordant within the age spectrum uncertainties, our suggestion that the Givetian/Frasnian boundary be placed at approximately 370 Ma may be invalid on the grounds argued previously.
