“…In fact, lesions remained strictly confined to the treated areas, strengthening a probable causal relationship. Indeed, to our knowledge, ours is the fourth reported case of EPDS following CO 2 laser treatment [3, 9, 10]. This case also reinforces previous observations concerning the efficacy and safety of topical calcineurin inhibitors in EPDS.…”

“…This is noteworthy bearing in mind the atrophic character of lesional skin in EPDS, which limits the usefulness of chronically administered topical steroids. Tacrolimus ointment was successfully used before in EPDS [3,10,11,12,13], as was the case in our patient who achieved a swift response and has been kept under total remission, from the 4th month on, for the 3-year follow-up period. Indeed, having in mind the chronic, recurring nature of the condition, its potential neoplastic risk, the selective involvement of chronically sun-damaged skin and, lastly, the concerns that have been brought about by the alleged tumour-promoting effects of tacrolimus, a regular and careful follow-up schedule is mandatory.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Topical tacrolimus is a potent anti‐inflammatory and immunosuppressive molecule that is devoid of many side effects of topical corticosteroids such as epidermal atrophy, striae‐distensae, or telangiectasias 5 . In our report 2 topical tacrolimus has been very effective in two erosive pustular dermatosis of the scalp patients, with rapid control of the inflammatory process and an improvement of the atrophic condition.…”

“…The present case is the fifth reported in the English‐language literature of EPDS successfully treated with topical tacrolimus 1,3,4,7 . Calcineurin inhibitors such as tacrolimus enable avoidance of side‐effects related to long‐term steroid treatment, notably cutaneous atrophy.…”
