“…The definition of these points was obtained by merging practical experience and CAD modeling considering the worst situations when handling the FROPS. Such an approach is in line with other studies [42,43] fostering the inclusion of worst-case scenarios when designing products focusing on the human factors perspective. Starting from this point, the acceptable limits of the moments that the operator can exert on the FROPS were determined, providing a reference basis for the definition of the acceptable limits of forces and moments involved in handling the FROPS.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…S 2 showed higher CP and higher SPD% on the full cushion mat, which confirmed its firmness. Thus, S 2 could engender a higher risk of soreness and fatigue, particularly for buttocks and thighs, because of soft tissue compression at these locations [ 13 , 40 ]. Moreover, Vink & Lips [ 41 ] indicated that the contact area at the front of the seat cushion, corresponding to the lower thigh, is more sensitive and could induce additional pain in the legs and feet [ 28 ].…”

“…From the second assessment on (t 23min ), discomfort scores became significantly higher than the first scores (t 3min ). Under ideal road conditions and with high-quality vehicle suspension systems, the magnitude of the vibrations perceived through the seat can be low [ 13 ]. In our study, road quality was unpredictable, as in real driving conditions, with alternating smooth and rough segments that induced different levels of WBV.…”

“…As a comfort model, this assessment has been developed with the individual, the product and the environment in mind [6]. Not only does this method outline key features to consider, but it also provides a robust methodology to reliably measure and test these based on existing ISO standards.…”
