Epidemiology of Polymyalgia Rheumatica 2000–2014 and Examination of Incidence and Survival Trends Over 45 Years: A Population‐Based Study

Abstract: Objective To determine time trends in the incidence and survival of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) over a 15 year period in Olmsted County, Minnesota, USA and to examine trends in incidence of PMR in the population by comparing this time period to a previous incidence cohort from the same population base. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC).
