Epidemiologic aspects of the malaria transmission cycle in an area of very low incidence in Brazil

Abstract: Background: Extra-Amazonian autochthonous Plasmodium vivax infections have been reported in mountainous regions surrounded by the Atlantic Forest in Espírito Santo state, Brazil.
