Abstract:In southern South America, zonal flora, defined by macroclimatic conditions, is strongly influenced by an aridity filter near 29°S. Cushion bogs, high-altitude wetlands along the Andes, display homogeneous flora with cushion species dominance, contrasting with zonal vegetation.
