Enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem services in quarry restoration – challenges, strategies, and practice

Abstract: Although covering less than 1% of the land surface, extraction activities have long-lasting impacts on local ecosystems, inevitably damaging biological diversity and depleting ecosystem services.
